SWEAT THAT NOURISHES THE EARTH tells the story of organic rice production at COPERAV. A cooperative of family farmers who conquered their farms through the fight for land, Agrarian Reform and the rights of rural workers with the MST (LandlessRural Workers Movement). After years of struggle, these families manage the entire rice chain, from planting to selling. Their organic rice feeds thousands of people all over Brazil. It became one of the biggest producers in Latin America. For COOPERAV’s people, rice is more than grain. Rice is earth, is water, Agrarian Reform, is Cooperativism. Rice is life.
《汗滴禾下土》讲述了COPERAV有机水稻生产的故事。一个由家庭农民组成的合作社，他们通过争取土地、土地改革和与MST（无土地农村工人运动）的农村工人权利而征服了自己的农场。经过多年的奋斗，这些家庭管理着从种植到销售的整个大米链。他们的有机大米养活了全巴西成千上万的人。它成为拉丁美洲最大的生产商之一。对COOPERAV的人民来说，大米不仅仅是谷物。水稻是土，是水，土地改革是合作主义。大米就是生命。
