From using the reeds as a military strategy to fend off the Japanese Army, to implementing a ban on duck breeding to curb pollution levels, Lake Baiyangdian has undergone many changes over the years. No change will be greater than that of the development of Xiongan, a new city right by the lake which strives to become an ecological beacon for Northern China. Xiongan aims to place the region at the forefront of ecological protection, suggesting how sustainable design can aim restore the state of the Lake.
At the forefront of this ongoing change lies the people of Lake Baiyangdian. Through reference to Baiyangdians golden past, it is hoped the future of the lake will shimmer brightly forever.
利用芦苇荡作为军事战略抵御日军，到实施禁止野鸭养殖，以遏制水污染，白洋淀多年来经历了许多变化。没有什么变化会比雄安新区的发展更大。一个建在湖边的新的城市，努力成为一个北方的生态灯塔。雄安立志将该地区置于生态保护的最前沿，提出可持续方案如何能够恢复白洋淀的生态。
在这个正在进行的变化的最前沿是依靠白洋淀生活的人。 望白洋淀的黄金时代，希望白洋淀的未来能永远闪闪发光。
