Down the mountain goes through different characters which are related to a each other through different conflicts. The film is about the past and present revolving around the Hot Springs. It goes through ordinary people of china and their perspective of hot springs and thus establishing a space where they all converge together. The film explores the importance of Hot Springs in Chongqing through its history, ecology and people. It shows within one mountain there can different perspectives but they all are united and their directly or indirectly their lives are connected to Hot Springs.
这部电影讲述的是过去和现在围绕着北碚温泉的故事。它通过中国的普通百姓和他们对温泉的看法，从而建立了一个他们都聚集在一起的空间。这部电影通过其历史、生态和人民探索了重庆温泉的重要性。在这部纪录片中，一座山中有不同的视角，但他们都是统一的，他们的生活直接或间接地与温泉有关。
