洛杉矶当地时间2019年2月2日晚7点，第46届安妮奖（Annie Awards）颁奖典礼在加州大学洛杉矶分校罗伊斯厅举办。颁奖典礼现场星光熠熠，共同期待第46届安妮奖（Annie Awards）最终获奖名单的揭晓。其中，《蜘蛛侠：平行宇宙》(Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)成为本次安妮奖最大赢家。这部已经获得第76届金球奖最佳动画奖、第91届奥斯卡最佳动画片提名的动画片，在本次安妮奖横扫包括最佳动画电影在内的7项大奖。
《蜘蛛侠：平行宇宙》导演Bob Persichetti在接受美国城市卫视记者Julia采访时表示，这部电影向青少年儿童传递了使命感与正义感，这种强大的精神力量可以在影片的方方面面体现出来，使得电影极富感染力。

本届安妮奖获奖电影《爱‧满人间》（Mary Poppins Returns）动画角色设计师James Woods 获得本次安妮奖最佳动画电影角色设计提名。他表示，如果用三个词语形容这部电影，那就是惊喜的（surprising）、 神奇的（magical）以及富有冒险精神的（adventurous）。创作电影的过程中他脑洞大开。

在电视动画方面，Netflix在今晚的成绩令人惊艳，由其出品的《马男波杰克》(BoJack Horseman)与《希尔达》(Hilda) 所获奖项占据了电视动画领域的三分之一江山；同样亮眼的还有迪士尼频道(Disney Channel)的动画片Disney Mickey Mouse，其在本次安妮奖包揽了3项大奖。
