\u7ecf\u7edf\u8ba1\uff0c\u5171\u6709196\u4e2a\u793e\u56e2\u80cc\u4e66\u7f8e\u534e\u603b\u4f1a\u7684\u8bf7\u613f\u4fe1\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u8fd120\u4e2a\u662f\u8054\u76df\u793e\u56e2\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u4ee3\u8868\u4e86\u5404\u81ea\u7684\u51e0\u5341\u5230\u8fc7\u767e\u4e2a\u52a0\u76df\u516c\u4f1a\u4e0d\u7b49\u3002\u56e0\u800c\uff0c\u9884\u8ba1\u8bf7\u613f\u4fe1\u4ee3\u8868\u4e86\u5168\u7f8e\u8d85\u8fc71000\u4e2a\u534e\u88d4\u7ec4\u7ec7\uff0c\u5f97\u5230\u4e86\u5168\u7f8e\u8d85\u8fc750\u4e07\u534e\u88d4\u5c45\u6c11\u7684\u80cc\u4e66\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4fe1\u4ef6\u7531\u7f8e\u56fd\u534e\u4eba\u534e\u4fa8\u8054\u5408\u603b\u4f1a\u8d77\u8349\uff0c\u5728\u5f81\u96c6\u4e86\u591a\u65b9\u610f\u89c1\u5e76\u4fee\u6539\u540e\uff0c\u6700\u7ec8\u9001\u81f3\u767d\u5bab\u4fe1\u4ef6\u7684\u5185\u5bb9\u516c\u793a\u5982\u4e0b\uff1a\"\"<\/p>\n

Dear Mr. President:<\/p>\n

In order to safeguard the more than five million Chinese Americans living in the United States of America, our safety, and our rights, leaders from the Chinese American community respectfully submit this petition to you. Thank you for your consideration of our concerns.<\/p>\n

On March 16th, 2021, a mass shooting took place in the Greater Atlanta area that took the lives of eight people, including six Asian women. Upon learning of this tragedy, the Chinese American community became shocked, saddened, and angered. Many of us now fear for the safety of ourselves and of our families. Since the start of Covid-19, hate crimes, insults, and violence directed toward Chinese Americans have become increasingly frequent. At this critical moment, we need your help.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAtlanta Incident\u201d is a hate crime directed towards Asian Americans, including Chinese Americans, that resulted in six women of Asian descent being brutally murdered. We hope that the Atlanta Police Department and the Government of Atlanta will conduct a thorough investigation that brings justice to the victims and their families and punishment to the gunman. We believe that immediate and decisive action is needed to prevent further incidents and tragedies from happening to Asian Americans.<\/p>\n

In your first presidential speech to the nation, you denounced hate crimes committed against Asian Americans, and we as Chinese Americans are truly grateful for these words of support. However, we need more than just recognition of a problem, as anti-Asian hate crimes and sentiment are widespread. We implore you to implement a strategy and work with other branches of the federal government to make a concerted effort to combat hate crimes in the United States. Chinese Americans deserve the same security and dignity other Americans enjoy.<\/p>\n

We hope that you will help work toward the following requests:<\/p>\n

1.\u200bWe call on the federal government to acknowledge that racism is a real factor in the everyday life of Chinese Americans. We urge the White House to hold a press conference and condemn hate crimes directed towards Chinese Americans.<\/p>\n

2.\u200bWe call on you to use your executive power to establish practical measures to protect Chinese Americans, their safety, and their rights.<\/p>\n

3.\u200bWe call on you to use the name and prestige of the presidency to write to all U.S. states and territories, as well as the Democratic and Republican parties, to address past and present instances of Asian American hate crimes to ensure that they will not occur in the future. Action from law enforcement and legislators is needed to preclude future violence and tragedy.<\/p>\n

4.\u200bWe call on you to enact an executive order that would create \u201cthe Asian American Victim Compensation Fund\u201d to compensate the victims of Asian American hate crimes in a prompt and efficient manner.<\/p>\n

5.\u200bWe call on you to work with other government agencies to provide additional funding to law enforcement agencies for cultural education, cultural training, diversity and inclusion training, and community outreach.<\/p>\n

6.\u200bWe call on you to nominate more Asian Americans, including Chinese Americans, to high level government positions. This will provide Chinese Americans with the opportunity to make greater contributions to the United States.<\/p>\n

7.\u200bWe call on the federal government to increase communication and interaction between various departments of the federal government and the Chinese American community. Strengthened communication will promote appreciation and trust, empower collaboration and participation, and afford the Chinese American community the opportunity to participate in American society in a more meaningful way.<\/p>\n

In conclusion, we hope that you will act upon the above petition and understand our deeply felt fear and uncertainty. We express our sincere thanks to you on behalf of the Chinese American community for the work you have done and will continue to do.<\/p>\n

    \u4e3a\u4e86\u7ef4\u62a4\u5c45\u4f4f\u5728\u7f8e\u5229\u575a\u5408\u4f17\u56fd\u7684500\u4e07\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u548c\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u6743\u5229\uff0c\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u793e\u533a\u7684\u9886\u5bfc\u4eba\u8c28\u5411\u60a8\u63d0\u4ea4\u672c\u8bf7\u613f\u4e66\u3002\u611f\u8c22\u60a8\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5173\u6ce8\u3002<\/p>\n

    2021\u5e743\u670816\u65e5\uff0c\u5927\u4e9a\u7279\u5170\u5927\u5730\u533a\u53d1\u751f\u5927\u89c4\u6a21\u67aa\u51fb\u4e8b\u4ef6\uff0c\u9020\u62108\u4eba\u4e27\u751f\uff0c\u5176\u4e2d\u5305\u62ec6\u540d\u4e9a\u88d4\u5987\u5973\u3002\u5f97\u77e5\u8fd9\u4e00\u60b2\u5267\uff0c\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u793e\u533a\u53d8\u5f97\u9707\u60ca\uff0c\u60b2\u4f24\u548c\u6124\u6012\u3002\u73b0\u5728\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u8bb8\u591a\u4eba\u62c5\u5fc3\u81ea\u5df1\u548c\u5bb6\u4eba\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u3002\u81eaCovid-19\u6210\u7acb\u4ee5\u6765\uff0c\u9488\u5bf9\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u7684\u4ec7\u6068\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u4fae\u8fb1\u548c\u66b4\u529b\u884c\u4e3a\u53d8\u5f97\u8d8a\u6765\u8d8a\u9891\u7e41\u3002\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5173\u952e\u65f6\u523b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u9700\u8981\u60a8\u7684\u5e2e\u52a9\u3002<\/p>\n

    \u201c\u4e9a\u7279\u5170\u5927\u4e8b\u4ef6\u201d\u662f\u9488\u5bf9\u5305\u62ec\u534e\u88d4\u5728\u5185\u7684\u4e9a\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u7684\u4ec7\u6068\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u5bfc\u81f4\u516d\u540d\u4e9a\u88d4\u4e9a\u88d4\u5987\u5973\u906d\u5230\u6b8b\u9177\u6740\u5bb3\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u5e0c\u671b\u4e9a\u7279\u5170\u5927\u8b66\u5bdf\u5c40\u548c\u4e9a\u7279\u5170\u5927\u653f\u5e9c\u5c06\u8fdb\u884c\u5f7b\u5e95\u8c03\u67e5\uff0c\u4ee5\u4f7f\u53d7\u5bb3\u8005\u53ca\u5176\u5bb6\u5c5e\u4f38\u5f20\u6b63\u4e49\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u67aa\u624b\u8fdb\u884c\u60e9\u7f5a\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c\u5fc5\u987b\u91c7\u53d6\u7acb\u5373\u679c\u65ad\u7684\u884c\u52a8\uff0c\u4ee5\u9632\u6b62\u4e9a\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u53d1\u751f\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u7684\u4e8b\u4ef6\u548c\u60b2\u5267\u3002<\/p>\n

    \u5728\u60a8\u5411\u7f8e\u56fd\u7684\u9996\u6b21\u603b\u7edf\u6f14\u8bb2\u4e2d\uff0c\u60a8\u8c34\u8d23\u4e86\u9488\u5bf9\u4e9a\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u7684\u4ec7\u6068\u7f6a\u884c\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f5c\u4e3a\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u5bf9\u8fd9\u4e9b\u652f\u6301\u7684\u8bdd\u6df1\u8868\u611f\u8c22\u3002\u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u7531\u4e8e\u53cd\u4e9a\u6d32\u4ec7\u6068\u72af\u7f6a\u548c\u60c5\u7eea\u6cdb\u6ee5\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u4ec5\u9700\u8981\u8ba4\u8bc6\u5230\u4e00\u4e2a\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u6073\u8bf7\u60a8\u5b9e\u65bd\u4e00\u9879\u7b56\u7565\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0e\u8054\u90a6\u653f\u5e9c\u5176\u4ed6\u90e8\u95e8\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u5171\u540c\u52aa\u529b\u6253\u51fb\u7f8e\u56fd\u7684\u4ec7\u6068\u72af\u7f6a\u3002\u534e\u88d4\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u5e94\u4eab\u6709\u5176\u4ed6\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u4eab\u6709\u7684\u540c\u6837\u7684\u5b89\u5168\u548c\u5c0a\u4e25\u3002<\/p>\n
